Impact Communications Case Study

Eaton Corporation

PROJECT: MESH

MEDIA: e-Training

Impact Communications developed the training materials for MESH, Eaton Corporation's Global Management System of Environment, Safety, Security, and Health.

Impact was brought on board during the earliest developmental stages of MESH to work side-by-side with the company as the program was created and introduced to Eaton's facilities worldwide. Throughout the production of MESH programs, the objective was to generate awareness of MESH, and to educate and inform employees and contractors about the implementation of the new program.

The introduction of MESH began with an awareness video available in nine languages on a single DVD.

The video was followed by two e-learning courses instructing plant managers and internal assessors how MESH works. These presentations utilize interactive exercises to keep students engaged in the lessons.

The final component was a live classroom training session for assessors. This course teaches the "do's and don'ts" of being a MESH assessor. True-to-life scenarios, videotaped at an Eaton plant facility, make the lessons more relevant, producing a higher level of understanding and retention.
