MEDIA: Video
If clothes make the man, then his wardrobe had better set the cinematic scene. In this video complement to a museum exhibit featuring costumes and props used in famous horror films, Impact created a video that showcased how the right - and the wrong - costume can make or break the movie mood, every bit as powerfully as music, lighting, or dialog.
Green screen technology thrust an 'everyman' actor into a variety of horror film scenes. Inappropriately dressed in his couch potato best, he skillfully illustrated the jarring juxtaposition of not dressing for the occasion. The video also demonstrated the power of fashion, particularly historically accurate costumes, to effectively convey ambiance and emotion, and succeed in transporting movie audiences to different times, places, and states of mind.
