"Weather or Not" is a distance-learning program that combines an interactive CD-ROM, instructional videos, teacher manual, website, and twenty geographically diverse weather stations, to provide middle school students with the tools they need to enhance their math and science skills.
Impact collaborated with WVIZ-TV curriculum developers and meteorologists to script courses. A progress management system was created to help teachers and students follow their progress through the learning modules.
The self-paced program encourages hands on-development in the learning process. Through an exploration of real-life weather conditions and phenomena, students are provided with in-depth information that corresponds with their classroom curriculum.
